A journal is not a feed
A journal is made for you, not an audience. DayJar therefore starts without an account, profile, or social layer. After the short onboarding, you can write your first entry.
Local is a product decision
Journal text, photos, and voice memos are stored locally on your device. DayJar does not operate a cloud for your entries. When you open a map, the system loads map data from Apple. We name that boundary clearly instead of turning "private" into a vague promise.
You decide about places
A photo can contain a location. In DayJar, that information stays optional and can be removed in a way that is easy to understand. A memory can feel complete without becoming a public trail.
DayJar is made for real days. Gaps, small moments, and everything that is not meant for other people.
